What is Kevlar?
Kevlar®, invented in 1965 by the Dupont Company, is a strong, durable material that was first created as a replacement for steel in radial tires. It has since been used in a variety of industrial applications. Here are a few of the key attributes that Kevlar provides:

- Low Electrical Conductivity
- High Chemical Resistance
- Low Thermal Shrinking
- High Cut Resistance
- Heat & Flame Resistant
- Self-Extinguishing
Because of these attributes Kevlar is often seen as one of the most revolutionary inventions of the 20th Century.
