What are aluminized welding gloves?

Aluminized welding gloves are designed to reflect and stop radiant heat from affecting the user. They are often manufactured with a layer of aluminized rayon sealed with kevlar threading to protect the back of the hand and thumb. Some manufacturers make the aluminum pad with a removable snap feature. For extra comfort and heat protection aluminized welding gloves are also often made with a wool or foam liner.
