I need to replace the hard rubber on 24 inch wheelchair tires. Can that be done?

Replacing wheelchair tires can be difficult and without the proper tools it is close to impossible.  The diameter of most solid wheelchair tires is typically 2″ – 3″ smaller than the wheel you’ll be putting them on. Solid wheelchair tires are made from a tough material called urethane (polyurethane). They are puncture proof with a solid foam/rubber insert that can be difficult to stretch across the wheel.
